Today's blog I decided was to go back to San Luis Obispo, CA. I was looking at a few photos from when I lived there and it just made me miss that wonderful small town even more. The down town shopping, farmer's market once a week, and just seeing all the college students roam the town made my brief stay memorable.

5 places to see when your in San Luis Obsipo

1. The bublegum wall- Everyone should visit this remarkable little alley. It may seem a bit unhygenic but nonetheless it is a sight to behold. If you find yourself without gum in your mouth, I suggest you run to nearest store, purchase a pack of gum and chew. You have to stick your piece on the wall.

2. Firestones- A must eat at sports bar. Firestones is located right in town. It's atmosphere is bustlinig with college students needing a bowl of seasoned fries or some excellent tri-tip sandwiches. For those of you who are vegetarian, they have a really good ceasar salad as well. If you're as lucky as I was you might even get to see Chuck "The Iceman" Lidell. The first time I ate there it was so crowded he offered to let us sit on his table!

3. Madonna Inn- It's just plain beautiful. The resturant doesn't have the greatest food but just seeing the old-fashion atmosphere is beauty in itself. Every room has it's own style anf flare. Oh, and here's a tip: Use the bathrooms!

4. Farmer's Market- The weekly farmer's market is located down town. It's from one end of the street to the other. It's crowded and everyone comes together to listen to music and just enjoy the outside atmosphere. Buy your fruits! It seems like strawberries are ALWAYS in season. :)

5. Cal Poly campus- The campus is beautiful. Enough said. If you're lucky enough to be in town during football season, I suggest you pull out your green and gold to support the Cal Poly Mustangs. The fans are crazy! Whether they're covered in body paint or jingling their keys during a kick off, you are sure to get into the spirit of things.

So if you find yourself driving down the California coast, make sure to fill up gas in San Luis Obispo, even if you're there for an hour atleast visit the bubble gum wall. It's so gross you can't help but love it.
