Hello out there in LJ land...

It has been a while since I have actually updated here. I now maintain a xanga as well and it seems that more of my friends are on there than here. But I haven't forgotten where I began. ;) Here goes:

#1 Coty Ray Sloan...you rock my FACE off!

I have been enjoying my time at home with my family and friends. Coty has been home all this week! It's been such a blast catching up and spending time with him and his family again. I've really missed him and it is such a blessing and an encouragement to have one of my best friends back. Sadly enough, he flies back to Dallas on Sunday morning. I will most likely make a trip or two to Dallas to visit him during the school year, though, considering it's only a 4 or 5 hour drive from Tulsa!

#2 Like a chicken with its head cut off....

I have been working like crazy at the camp...I'll be doing housekeeping all summer long and possibly interning with Scott in the Media Department (or whatever they call it now.) Summer staff comes in Sunday and we start orientation and it will last all next week. Which means I will be there all day every day for about 5 or 6 days straight. It's always fun though. It will just be weird not having Lily or Coty there with me. :( But at least I have the awesome aussie Rob back! He got here today!!

#3 Here's to tonight...

I just got back from hanging out with the crew. We played frisbee at the beach until it was too dark to even see. We played with some random little kids on the playground equipment and it was hilarious watching these big tall 20-somethings act like bigger kids than the 5 year-olds that were there. Rhino even got stuck in "the tube" and we had to help pull him out. It was ridiculous and I was laughing so hard!

Rhino, Kristin and I went to The Station afterward and got a bite to eat. It was funny seeing the look on the waitress's face when we all ordered water (instead of beer, like everyone else in the restaraunt.) She was like "Wow, lettin' loose tonight." It made me smile. :) We chilled out and talked and then we just sat out on the tailgate of Rhino's truck and talked some more and goofed around until about midnight. I love hanging out with them, and it's been a while since I have gotten to simply sit and talk with Kristin. I realize now how much I've missed her.

#4 Highlights

Perhaps the highlight of the past few weeks is 1) finding out that I got the time off to go on a mission trip with my brother/the youth group to the Ozarks! and 2) finding out that my parents would let me put in less toward tuition this year and put the rest to pay off my mission trip in full. So within about 2 weeks time, God has certainly turned the tables on me! I love it! And even better, we'll be stopping in St. Louis on the way there and back...so that means I can see LILY!!! And here I thought I wouldn't be seeing her until August (at the very earliest.) So I get to go on a mission trip, not have to worry about paying it off later, and see my best friend...I am so blown away.

Oh and...all you who enjoy genuine worship that is driven by amazingly talented musicians and a prophetic anointed worship leader, check out www.rickpino.com. Coty's in the band and plays violin and it is so incredible. I've been listening to the CD all week in my car and every time it just draws me in. I love immersing myself in worship and just letting myself relax in my Father's arms. There is an anointing on Rick and the band like I have not heard before. It reminds me of how it was/is playing with the Incite band. God shows up every time and it just takes off! I love it. :)

#5 Outro

Well then, that's all I got. I'm beat. I'm going to bed. Love and hugs!
