Currently sitting in Narita airport near Tokyo, waiting for the final flight to Seoul. The flight over was fine, but very tiring. I think I've been on the road for like 20 hours or so, with only intermittent rest. Heya Alisa

Korea was a blast. I actually tried the food there, largely because of my friend's prompting (craziness, considering that I didn't eat vegetables two or three years ago). There are definitely some excellent dishes, though I must admit that Kimchi wasn't exactly to my liking. I mean, if I needed to, I could live off of it and probably get used to it. I defaulted to things I enjoyed the taste of more, when everything was placed in front of me. *shrugs* Perhaps I would Kimchi more in pancake form. I am a fan of pancakes. Mmm... it must also be noted that I have zero tolerance for spicy things, and much of the Kimchi we had had some spices on it. It burns us.

Haha, I could see where eating Korean food would be problematic for one who avoids meat. They put it in everything! (but you are so missing out. Shabu shabu is divine (and a mongolian dish, I think. At least, it's not native Korean.)) However, one of favorite dishes was just rice and vegetables (the dolsot bibimbap).

I'll give you a call sometime. I'll update you on my attending law school trials, and you can update me on your getting a doctorate tribulations.
