Since the fair Irish Princess, among others, have been asking if one would be done, what could Monty and I do but to acquiesce? I would like to state for the record that none of this is meant insultingly. All love can be sent towards Montgomery Flint and Cadoc Phillips. Marriage proposals and death threats can be directed towards yours truly only-- Monty finds this whole thing awkward enough as is without having to deal with THOSE as well.
The Fairer Sex at Hogwarts
1) Polina Savage (9.875/10)
Cadoc: 9.75/10. One of my favourite fellow Prefects, by a long shot. The world needs more girls who are pretty and athletic and responsible-- and nice enough not to rub all that in someone's face. It would be a far better place, I think.
Monty: 10/10. I’m always wowed by your ability to be so nice to everyone! We should all learn to follow in your exemplary footsteps. Additionally, between you and Izzy, I might actually learn how to cook for myself eventually!
2) Iseult "Izzy" Finnigan (9.5/10)
Cadoc: 10/10. Ah, my fair Irish princess, you're as sweet and pretty as your namesake, and quite likely as brave. While I don't think you require suitors to slay dragons to prove their affection (which is appreciated), I do hope you at least require them to treat you royally well.
Monty: 9/10. There’s something wonderful about quidditch-playing girls who don’t mind instructing a bloke in biscuit-making.
3) TIED! Roxanne Weasley (8.625/10)
Cadoc: 8.75/10. While I wholeheartedly support Ravenclaw Quidditch in all its endeavours, Gryffindor certainly has more than its fair share of beautiful women. Contrary to what other, more timid blokes may say, it's not an unattractive trait for a female to have to not feel any burning need to have a boy -- any boy, on her arm at all times.
Monty: 8.5/10. You amaze me sometimes with your energy! Also, and I swear I’m not mocking you here, but it has to be said; that time you socked Jonathan in the nose was amazing. Your arm was incredible, and I sympathise with the need to occasionally express oneself in a more physical way!
3) TIED! Winifred Wood (8.625/10)
Cadoc: 9.25/10. Potters are known for their luck, aren't they? In this instance it certainly proves true. It's not everyone who can be both confident and nice, and certainly even rarer to be such a looker, too.
Monty: 8/10. You’re nearly impossible to compete against as a Keeper, or as a person! I’m always impressed with you.
4) Karin Thomas (7.75/10)
Cadoc: 8/10. Though I am not at all familiar with the particular genre of literature which you write, I must encourage all such creative efforts. I'm also very touched that you think so highly of me as to try to set me up with your best friend. And for the record, you're very attractive, and really don't need male validation of that fact.
Monty: 7.5/10. I never know quite what to say to you, Karin, but I expect you’ll take that as a compliment.
5) Rose Weasley (7.5/10)
Cadoc: 8.5/10. Bless your heart, I think you're wonderful, ink spills and all. That you try hard, and mean well, and are an honest and good-hearted person, will take you much farther and reap more rewards than pretention ever will.
Monty: 6.5/10. It’s impossible not to respect the effort you put into life all the time, and, as Cadoc said, your spills are endearing! I quite liked the ink stain that appeared on my journal, it had character.
6) Irving Stewart (7.25/10)
Cadoc: 7.5/10. I think you're adorable and hilarious. And you have all my sympathy on the matter of siblings. I am fairly sure that I'd entertain very big brotherly feelings towards you, but I get the distinct feeling that another brother is the last thing you need.
Monty: 7/10. I sympathise with your sibling issues. Possibly we should someday stick your brothers with my youngest sister and see if we can get them to combust each other or something!
7. Hannelore Midgen-Cooper (6.625/10)
Cadoc: 7.25/10. There are very few people in the school-- nay the world, who can keep upbeat in the face of anything. It's a talent that many of us would do better to emulate. You also have a very nice smile. Perhaps these two things are tied in with each other. Cheers!
Monty: 6/10. I have to admire anyone who can be as cheerful as you are all the time! I’ve been told you also bake amazing cakes.
8. Carys Rees (6.5/10)
Cadoc: 9.5/10. Whichever patently unworthy bloke eventually decides to snatch her up WILL probably have to tame a Welsh green and take a three-page quiz, let alone prove honourable intentions and sincere affection, in order to pass muster. Good things come in small, quiet packages.
Monty: 3.5/10. Quidditch! You’re my favorite seeker in the school, I have to confess. We don’t really talk much, do we? That’s awkward.
9. TIED! Coriander Bulstrode (6.375/10)
Cadoc: 7.75/10. I don't really know you, but that you show compassion and care for small animals speaks highly for you. It shows responsibility and kindness towards those in your care, and that's something to be proud of.
Monty: 5/10. If nothing else, you’re a wonderful cat person. (Licorice is doing wonderfully, by the way!) To paraphrase Cadoc once more, that says a lot about a girl!
9. TIED! Chloe Elkins (6.375/10)
Cadoc: 7/10. People probably should be much nicer and more sympathetic to you, as you rarely have a go at anyone without provocation. That being said, everyone should just be nicer in general to everyone and mean it.
Monty: 5.75/10. I think people underestimate you, to be honest. You seem very upfront about life, and I like that. Also, our cats are siblings, which makes us practically related, which is a good thing!
10. Rosalind Montague (6.125/10)
Cadoc: 8.25/10. Juliet must have been quite something to be chosen over you, fair Rosalind. You take the time to develop your artistic skills, which shows an attractive self-reliance, and you exhibit the sort of good breeding and dignity when dealing with people that means so much more than galleons or name. That being said, it's all right to let people in a bit. I'm sure none would be disappointed.
Monty: 4/10. Your artistic ability always wows me. this is kind of an awkward comment but It wouldn’t be a bad thing to open up a tad!
11. Starla Makenna Kirke (6/10)
Cadoc: 9/10. You'll hate me for this, oh lovely and intelligent co-Prefect. But I speak nothing but the truth when I say that I really do enjoy working with you. And couldn't ask for a better bad cop. And no amount of hatred directed at my person will change my opinion on this matter.
Monty: 3/10. I appreciated the study schedule you did for me last year, and I swear, I’ll try and keep to it better this year!
12. Anna Dunlop (5.875/10)
Cadoc: 6.75/10. One of the cute Gryffindor Quidditch girls, but somehow I think you'd take that as an insult, so disregard that. I do admire your enthusiasm and athletic ability first and foremost, and Ravenclaw or no, will never babble academia at you against your will. Particularly since football would be far more fun to discuss.
Monty: 5/10. No one can deny that you give as good as you get! Let’s not try to fight this year, though, yeah?
13. Amity Smith (5.375/10)
Cadoc: 6.5/10. You're very cute and have your odd moments of sweetness. I'm fairly sure it takes a very strong will, also, to resist those puppy eyes. I'm really quite sorry you didn't manage to find anything fun to do over the summer.
Monty: 4.25/10. Really, we ought to work on this whole politeness deal, but it’s nice how outspoken you are.
14. Eden Doyle (4.375/10)
Cadoc: 6.25/10. I don't think I've ever talked to you, which I suppose given that we're in different houses and years, is somewhat understandable. You seem nice though, from the fact that you smile a lot, and it doesn't look like one of those 'I am actually plotting to kill you' smiles.
Monty: 2.5/10. I don’t know you as well as I probably should, but your puzzles make me think you’re operating on a higher level than I am for most of the time.
15. Cicely Chauvin (4/10)
Cadoc: 6/10. See above. You smile a bit less, however. And the smiles may very well be of the 'I am actually plotting to kill you' variety.
Monty: 2/10. Your journal entry about the boringness of the Quidditch World Cup scared me a bit, as it makes me wonder what kind of excitement you’re used to. Perhaps you’re thinking so far ahead of the rest of us that we just can’t keep up?
16. Saraswati Nott (3.375/10)
Cadoc: 5.75/10. You are actually quite pretty and funny, in your way. I am amusingly insincere, according to you. Interpret as you wish.
Monty: 1/10. As wonderful as it is to see a girl who isn’t afraid to be a little rude and occasionally sarcastic, I don’t think we’d work out. I’m far too dull, I expect.
