So lately, I have become obsessed with reading these crazy quiverful fundamentalist Christian mom blogs. I think it's because the Duggars haven't had a new special in a while and I am jonesing for some religious crazy.  The fun part is all of these women are on the same blogroll so going from crazy fundie to crazy fundie is as easy as a click of the mouse.

So today, there was a new post by one of the women about how now that she has brought her new baby home (her fifth) her 2 1/2 year old is acting willful and stubborn.  I don't know, maybe because with 5 kids(and homeschooling all of them)  you don't enough time to spend any quality time with any of them.  She decided that the way to fix that was to begin to carry "her rod" around with her again.  She goes on to report that he is much better behaved now and responds with "Yes Ma'am" every time she says something.

WTF!!!!!!!

Am I the only one who finds this insane? Apparently out of the readers of her blog, I am.  There were several responses to her blog congratulating her on her success.  Not being a parent yet, I must have missed out on the class where you learn that it's okay to beat your  2 1/2 year old.

The best part of this is one of the comments that I cut out for your pleasure.

"I am so very thankful that my Husband made my rod into a ducktape necklace which I can wear around my neck (which is attached to my forgetful head).  If I can just master the habit of ALWAYS putting it back around my neck then I will have a much better chance of success :-)"

By the way,  I love women who homeschool who can't spell duct tape and who have no grammar skills.

I'm sure I will come across many more fundie gems and i will not hesitate to share them with you.

the crazies come out, fundies, duggars
