[She'd taken to wearing it - that was the only way to keep it truly safe, she decided. Since it had been taken, however accidentally, no place seemed good enough, hidden enough. While wearing it at all times might not have seemed the most concealed course of action, at least she knew where it was, and knew that she could keep it safely tucked away underneath the scarves she'd taken to wearing in the frozen weather.
Today, however, was special. Today Rose would be coming, and a small piece of her secret would belong not only to herself, but to someone else, too. And then Artemis would come, and the three of them would go simply enjoy the afternoon.
