I thought you were supposed to keep going :D Here you are ending the scene at the most interesting part :X :D

For me the logical conclusion is just that: making sure no one gets hurt. The suspense is something that only happens in Marce's world.

I suppose we are just looking at it from different povs. For me the main scene would be her dealing with her attacker while you chose the scene with the children. Hence my question.

I guess it's because I know the scene with the attacker is just going to end as it normally does. But anything with Marce's little terrors is unpredictable.
