Saturday: I'm the DJ
If someone was foolish enough to make you the DJ of your own live radio show..... what would you do with it?
Oh, man, that would be awesome. I'd be one of those morning show people, and I'd play all the most eclectic songs I could find in between segments. Alternative, rock, new age, pop -- whatever I could get away with. And I'd crack as many bad jokes as I possibly could. I dunno if I'd have a solo show or something with another DJ -- both have their advantages. With solo, you have complete creative control; with a group, you have people to bounce stuff off of. Hmm. . . .
I hate commercials, so I'd try to get by solely on listener support. And I'd have as many guest stars on that I could wrangle. Whoever I find most interesting in the music scene at the time. I'd probably review books on famous artists too. It's Lucy's Everything Hour!
. . .I'm worried this sounds more annoying that fun. Good thing it's just in my head. (Though -- anybody know what radio DJ pays? I'm in between jobs at the moment. . . .)
