My favorite character us from the Ramayana, Hanunaman! I was always inspired by his clever and impish ways.

I'm going to have to be rather unoriginal here, and say Cinderella. Though, I've read many different versions, I like the idea that a "nobody" can change the system. :)

It is not unoriginal. The lesson you've chosen is a good one.

I wonder at Cinderella.

About five years ago, I met a little girl who lost her hearing, and her father, in an explosion. That was the story he always read her and we learned sign language, together, by reading that book.

She's a beautiful little girl and she's going to grow up into a beautiful young lady. I guess.. she's almost my little Cinderella. :)

Ah. It is not just the story that holds significance, but also memories tied to it.

Do you hope this girl will bring about change?

I was always fond of "Little Red Riding Hood", mostly the tale's evolution. How it began as a clear, obvious warning and has evolved today to include a hunter miraculously coming to the rescue. My favorite character was always the wolf.

Delilah insists I mention that her favorite was "Beauty and The Beast", and that she loves both of the characters but particularly likes Beauty's ability to see what nobody else can.

And look at that! No color jokes. I'm proud of myself.

None of this is surprising in the least.

Congratulations.

Have you heard of the story of the tin man? A man who fell in love with a woman only to have his love for her challenged. He was imprisoned in a tin shell and kept away from his heart for so long he lost his own. And then a miracle happened and he met a girl who released him from his prison. In his search he eventually found not only his heart, but his family as well. It is a sad story, but with a happy ending.

I have not.

I wonder what happens after the "ending"?

It depends on the many versions of the story. In the versions I know, he either got his family back through the gifts of those who rewarded his help in saving the princess, or he never got over the loss of his love, but was able to love again and have the support of his family and friends for the rest of his life.

He either gets it all back or accepts something new?

Krampus. Guy can drag people to hell in paintings he's depicted in, but people still have festivals revolving around him. Lucky bastard.

Perhaps he is just lonely? And has a bad PR agent?

If I were lonely, I wouldn't pick children on Santa's naughty list. Who knows, maybe's he's into that kind of thing. YKINMK, Krampus.

Would you want to go sledding on your own? Perhaps he is 'misunderstood'.

"YKINMK"?
