[Twosday] Sacrifices
Lots of people sacrifice for us everyday. But on a personal note, my mom sacrificed herself for us especially after my dad died. I’m not sure of anything that’s more of an emblem of sacrifice than a single mom raising three kids on her own and doing a damn good job at it. As a kid you don’t really recognize the small things. But I remember there was always food on the table. We always had clothes on our back. She was at almost every play we did, sports activity we were a part of, etc. And we knew without a doubt that we were loved even when we were in a heap of trouble.
As for sacrificing myself, I don’t know, I do that a lot by jumping in head first into situations without a whole lot of thought. But one I did intentionally and because I wanted to do it is picking up Hotch’s end of the paperwork since Haley was killed. It’s meant later hours, earlier mornings and less me time. But Hotch has little Jack and that kid… that kid deserves a parent like the ones I had. He deserves someone to be there for him in every way as often as they can and that lets him know he’s loved no matter what.
