When Marilyn got home from work she stopped just long enough to get me and haul me back to the office. Then we worked for 3 1/2 hours (until around 11:30 p.m.).
After that we drove straight to WalMart to shop -- and it was no small trip! We needed a lot of things, including some basics (like bread). We got home past midnight and I cooked a meal, as we were both starving.
I was pretty done in by the time I finished unpacking everything (including a case of soda and two cases of bottled water). I did end up lifting computer towers at work, but the one I had to bring downstairs wasn't one of the huge ones (thankfully). And the large tower didn't have to be moved all that far. But I did have to go up and down the staircase countless times -- and crawl on the floor under desks.
Happily, I have the station for Alex all set up (woo hoo), and got a computer in place for Lilia, even though it needs more work. So I feel like I accomplished some important work today!
And I got a lot of festival website stuff done this afternoon, including a News item (that also went on the Home page), the update for the Auction page and the update for the Vendor page. Now I have a new update that just came to me today, so hopefully I'll get it done soon.
Marilyn also hopes to have some PSSCA stuff for me tomorrow...
Wednesday goals? Too many for one day, I suspect. I want to finish putting away Christmas, which will probably take hours. (sigh) I need to color my hair. I'd like to cook (and this item takes some time to do). I'd hoped to start work on our new desktop computers for here at home (which won't just take hours, but DAYS of hours and hours to do).
Just taking down our Christmas tree and boxing it up is a huge job. And I need to take down the outdoor tree, too.
I'm so tired right now that typing this is making me almost shake. (yikes) I wonder how much I'll actually get done?
Well, whatever happens, I MUST be at work on Thursday. Alex will be starting that day, and I need to do her computer orientation -- a sure sign that another year is really here when our Seasonal Staff people are hired on and begin work. I have a spiel I go through for each new person, so it's no big deal. But it wouldn't hurt for me to review it a bit in my head. (smile)
And it's almost 2:00 a.m., so Marilyn and I should probably be heading to bed!
Henry goes in to see his own vet (woo hoo) tomorrow. I hope he gets a good report. (If he can rope-a-dope right on top of me, he must be feeling better!)
I just read Marilyn's fic for LAS that's due tomorrow -- and I think it's amazing. She's such a good writer. I love reading her stuff...
And that's it for today.
