Phone Meeting? Good Deal!
Yes, we did manage to get to work in plenty of time for Marilyn's Manager's meeting (after the Finance meeting). No, I didn't have to haul in a computer tower today! (heh)
Rick was first to arrive (early), with the phone dudes and Kris close behind. It was a good meeting, and from what Rick told me we made progress today! (woo hoo)
Rick and Kris were supposed to be going from that meeting to on site at the new building. (Kris and I may go there again on Friday, as well...)
It was my first time meeting Rudy, though I'd spoken with him previously on the phone. Nice man!
I've already made it clear that I adore Kris (I love that guy) -- and I really love Rick, too! Like Kris, he's brilliant at what he does and has a great personality. Just the sweetest man ever.
In other IT-related news, Kris finished the clone of the finance computer yesterday after I took off. He was planning to do the clone of Laura's computer today (which I'll either use for the as yet unhired events assistant, or for the marketing intern). If Kris can get in on Friday, we'll be setting up the room for four more stations, and hopefully checking out the last of our equipment (I need six more computers for interns). After we move Laura's computer, we'll put the seasonal receptionist's computer up next to Hailey at the front desk.
I think we're in better shape than I expected for equipment, though I need more monitors (!!!) and Kris is getting me more RAM. All good!
Tomorrow Marilyn and I will be working from home. The plan is to tackle the website together. And we also have the Clown Corps meeting from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. (which is being held at a place not far from our house).
Busy, busy, busy!
