Good News (woo hoo) & Bad News (sigh)

Bad News: I'm still really sick. I was pretty miserable all night long. Not sure if this is a COLD or the flu (I'm still thinking a cold), but it's bad, whatever it is. It was such a relief to get home from work last night... And I was pretty much dreading going to the dentist today. It's hard enough to go when you can breathe through your nose okay -- awful when you can't! They had me re-do my paperwork and I was so out of it that I screwed it up several times. Not kidding.

Bad News: I had TERRIBLE leg cramps last night and this morning! Just awful. So much pain. And I was almost out of pills, too...

Good News: I took Christmas to all three of them at my dentist (Mary, Holly and Shannon) -- and to Kathy, my hair dresser (plus cookies for the entire shop).

Bad News: Mary was concerned about me running a fever, so she wanted me to take antibiotics (plus the antinausea meds, pain pills and meds for a potential yeast infection). Actually, that's probably a good news/bad news thing. (And the fever is probably from this cold.) I guess Mary could actually feel the heat coming off me...

Good News: They did x-rays and Mary examined the tooth that's bothering me, and it's probably (fingers crossed) only a cavity that needs filling! Hopefully it's NOT going to need a root canal. At least, we're all hoping so at this point! That would be very, very good news, indeed!

Good News: Sister Sue was kind enough to take me to the appointment in St. Johns (she waited in the car), then to Kathy's shop and to Freddies (I got more leg cramp pills and soup). And to drop off my prescriptions at Riteaid, too. Wasn't that nice of her???

Good News: I've looked for Campbell's Double Noodle Soup several times recently. I kind of assumed they'd discontinued making it. But I FOUND IT today (and bought a couple of cans). I love to eat it, especially when I'm not feeling well.

Bad News: I felt LOUSY all day long. After I got home from the dentist and errands, I had some soup and went right back to bed. Later I took another hot bath. And Marilyn had suggested I have a drink to relax me, which I did. It really helped me to sleep.

I'm in pain and restless, stuffed up and have a sore throat. I'm very fatigued, too. I watched a little bit of TV in bed and read my Kindle. But a lot of the time I was just lying there feeling crappy...

The cats were with me a lot today, sweet boys!

Marilyn didn't get home until well past 8:00 p.m. tonight! She had a very busy day, and a bunch of meetings.

I did manage to get up and make us each a cheese sandwich for dinner (I washed my hands twice before doing that -- and I didn't breathe on the food).

I really, really hope Marilyn won't get my bug!

I guess Rich came back today after being out for two days -- then he had to go home! There are a lot of bugs floating around out there.

I'm thinking about another hot bath. It really helps with the aches and pains (and to relax me so I can actually sleep). Last night I fell asleep in the tub -- and the water was hot enough that I didn't chill.

The weather is miserable here! Pouring down rain and cold, too.

I just checked my email over for the first time all day. And I haven't even looked at my iPad or iPhone all day long.

Well, back to bed! I hope I feel better tomorrow (it's garbage day!).
