I sat up with Marilyn during much of the night, just in case she needed me. (I was quietly watching "I Love Lucy" for some time...)
Anyway, Marilyn is hanging in there. Today was rough. The second and third days are expected to be the most difficult, actually. She's in pain and very swollen and trying to get used to the denture piece she has to wear until they can replace the front tooth. (She had to take it out and rinse it today.) She was rinsing with salt water today.
She ate some mashed potatoes, a tiny bit of cottage cheese and a bowl of ice cream with a handful of raspberries. Not much food for an entire day, but at least she did eat.
She's not only in pain and swollen, but she isn't feeling well. She's running a temperature, which is also normal. Anyway, she feels lousy, poor thing.
So she's been lying around on the sofa and playing with her iPad and watching TV.
We watched a bunch of "MacGyver" episodes today. (We were huge fans of the series when it originally aired and it was fun seeing these...)
Sister Sue was admitted to Good Sam today. They still don't seem to know what exactly is wrong with her, but they're working to get the water weight off. And I suppose they're treating her anemia. Plus they've done tons of tests to figure out what's going on. Larry is going to contact me with results.
I spoke briefly to Sue on her cell phone and she's hanging in there.
I also was in touch with Adeena briefly, and with June, too.
I'm yawning like mad, even though I did get a nap at one point today. I guess I'm still sleepy. So I think I'll lie down for a bit, at least. I kind of hate to sleep when she's lying awake, though. We might watch some movie together. I can always sleep later.
We had a weird power outage at one point. It was quick, but still enough to mess up our alarm system (!!!) and turn off the air conditioning and the TV. I couldn't tell about our computers. Annoying, anyway.
I didn't get to any blogging from last week. Maybe tomorrow. (sigh)
