Yet another great film seen, yesterday! This time it was the Israeli film Eyes Wide Open (did you see this one too,
tharaist? *g*). It was wonderful, I thought. In a way, it felt sort of like watching a documentary about orthodox jews living in Jerusalem. Which is fascinating in itself! But it was also a very intimate and low-key film about two men, having an illicit affair, in the midst of all that social control and religious doctrine. It's tender and beautiful. And I love that there was no condemning of any lifestyle, it was just humans trying to live. I recommend seeing this one too! Apparently, Here! Television is planning on airing this film, sometime next year. See it!

The film festival has also made a commercial/trailer, which I find hilarious (it's shown before each film, so I've seen it a few times now, and I still find it funny):
