The boys of summer

In this interview with Jensen from that London Expo thingy, he's apparently interviewed by a fellow Swede. I LOVE the completely perplexed look on his face when asked if he's ever been to Sweden. Ha! He's probably trying to remember which country that is and most likely came up with that little country who makes watches... (That's so often the case.) But I should give the boy some credit, maybe he's just thinking how that's the country where everybody is blonde and naked all the time and got a little too exicted at the thought.

Also, this has got to be the funniest thing ever. Even more gay than a previous photo I (erroneously, obviously) labeled the gayest thing ever. Dear Jensen, show us the gay porn you've done. You know we wouldn't mind.

Speaking of hair, I'm not fantastically fond of the even shorter bordering-on-buzz-cut hair he's got (but still, let's count ourselves lucky he didn't stay in the previously displayed phase...), but man, he's still prettier than most.

And, just to have them in my LJ, here are a few highlights of Joe, from the past few weeks (nothing everyone else hasn't posted. In fact, EVERYONE else HAS posted these. I just don't want to feel left out). And because they are the sweetest things. Possessive!David and supercool yet fantastically goofy!Joe, what's not to love?

To not forget about another pretty boy, here's quite the pretty picture of dear Austin, from Maxim Magazine.

Now a few recs:
I haven't gotten around to read anything yet, but I'm so happy about all the wonderfully long stories to be found in sga_bigbang! I love long stories. In fact, those are what I mostly read. Short stories can be brilliant, but they never have quite the same impact as a long and well-written novel does. So yay!

I was also completely thrilled to find that spn_harlequin had gone live while I was away. Just as fun as the SGA equvialent was! So much wonderfully written CHEESE! I particularly love keepaofthecheez's When the Dealin's Done and 1ightning's Cattle Rancher, Convenient Wife. Much fun is also katjad's Mr Right Next Door and belyste's Business and Pleasure. Man, I a complete sucker for these things. Such lovely, shallow fun. :)

Something very non-harlequin, a much more serious epic, and a completely brilliant one is rei_c's L'Oiseau de Feu. Fabulous plot, wonderfully slow build-up of a Sam-Dean relationship (there's nothing I love more, a story can deflate completely for me, if they end up "together" too early) and just generally very, very good.

I'm also reading a few WIPs. It's fairly annoying, since they're updated quite erratically, but I'm intrigued enough to keep reading. Currently it's fiesty-red's Deviant Ways, I'm reading. It's an J2 AU where Jared's a cocky young detective and Jensen's a would-have-been murder victim. It's more like reading original fiction, so far, since I'm not sure I'm seeing much of the actual Jensen & Jared in there, but it's quite competently written, with quite a wonderful level of detail which makes me very intrigued. The other is a crime story too, by splashpink, called 90129 where Jensen's in jail and Jared is a reporter investigating his case. It's always hard at this juncture - with both these stories - to know where it's going and if I'm going to like it, but I can't stop reading!

Finally, I'm not planning of leaving LJ, but if you all decide to go somewhere else, let's just all please go to the same place, OK?
