Oh my, what a week it has already been.

SFA Orientation was Sun. - Tues. and it was amazing! First off, I signed up for 19 hours my first semester, but they are majority music classes, with two honor's courses. I met another Vera Dugas scholar (there are three of us) and we hit it off great! Her name is Brenda and we are going to become great friends, I'm sure of it. My roomate told me he was a pothead, but he's not my actual roommate, unfortunately. That kid hasn't talked to me yet.

I am auditioning for Grease at SFA in the fall as well, and I've already talked to the Dean of Fine Arts and the Theater directors to make sure I'm clear to participate in theater events on the side of my band activities. I'm extremely excited for next year, as all my classes are going to be ones that I want, and am not required to take. The joys of post high school.

Getting back on the subject of Brenda, she reminds me of someone who is very special to me. Aimee, I'm talking about you. Brenda was first in her class, and now she is at college majoring in, guess what? THEATER! We have gotten to already be good friends, and I think she'll be my temporary Aimee while I'm in college.

Speaking of Aimee, me and her are going to Broadway during Winter Break this year. I already asked my parents and they said they think it would be fun. So as long as Aimee and her parents are alright with it then there is absolutely no problem! So I hope you really want to go to Broadway!

Oh and Tyler Long called me the other day again with a proposition. Apparentally, one of the lead Baritone players from Memphis Sound had to drop out of the corps due to a family emergency. My name was brought up and I was then the first person they called to fill one of the LEAD baritone parts. I had to decline, firstly because it's Mempis, and secondly because I have a job that I've committed to, and I don't like to break committments.

I also got to check out an SFA Marching baritone to practice on.

MS. BENFORD, IF YOU READ THIS, WHEN CAN I BRING IN MY EUPHONIUM TO THE SCHOOL? I WORK DURING THE DAY, IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN GET IT TO SOMEONE EITHER BEFORE NINE OR AFTER SIX?

I love you all.

:-)
