Oh bbs.
Lots to talk about. New Doctor Who. What's got two thumbs and got to watch the Series 5 premiere of Doctor Who on BBC 1? THIS GUY.
Jeez Louise, I really miss David Tennant. It seems like everyone's hating on him lately, but like my pal Linsey says -- haters to the left. Tennant was my favorite and he'll continue to be. I like how sad he was because that also meant when he was happy, he was really happy. And I love how fast he talked when he'd get excited. Don't get me wrong, I like Eleven. Now that I've seen an episode with him, I'm confident that he'll make the role his own and I like how he's fun and happy go lucky. But Ten is always gonna be my favorite Doctor. And I miss staring at David Tennant's FINE ASS.
My favorite moments that I can remember right now:
- Little Amelia packing her suitcase to leave with The Doctor -- so heartbreaking!!
- Eleven bursting in on the computer dude, then reminding him to delete his internet history...
- Eleven seriously asking "who da man?" Then telling himself that he probably shouldn't say that again.
- Amy's googly eyes as The Doctor undressed in front of her.
- The homage to all the previous Doctors when Eleven is reprimanding the big alien guy for trying to destroy Earth.
I really think this is gonna be a good season. The preview looked fantastic and I'm really excited to see where Smith takes The Doctor. Amy, though....she's a bit...I still have to warm up to her I think.
In other news, I just got back from Liverpool and let me tell you that that was pretty much a religious experience. My friend Elizabeth and I visited the Cavern Quarter, where the Cavern Club and John Lennon and Eleanor Rigby statues are, The Beatles Story, a really fantastic museum dedicated to The Beatles (where they have a very heartwarming tribute to John -- a white room where Imagine plays on a loop and his piano with his glasses and a picture sit on top -- made me cry, but listening to Imagine always gets me a bit weepy), Penny Lane where their old baber shop is, Strawberry Field (where I again cried) and St Peter's Church where Eleanor Rigby's grave is. Here's some of my favorite pictures of the couple of days I was there.
