Me: I am officially coming home on the 8th! YEA! Let the midnight coffee and pie begin!

Me: WHAT! WHERE? WHY? HOW LONG?
Danny: Fort Lewis, I have training for only two weeks this summer.
Me: Two WEEKS!?! I guess I can handle two weeks, that's not so bad. Will you get me a t-shirt and a sweatshirt that's ARMY and will make me think of you?
Danny: For you Tiger, I would rope the Moon.
Me: You sure know how to sweet talk a tiger! I love you Edward Dan Russell
Danny: I love you too. When can I see you, Tiger? I missing you like crazy. Mikey has to listen to me talk about you all the time.
Me: NOW! You can see me now or whenever you would like. Say hi to Mikey for me! You should come down and say "good bye FOR NOW" to me before you run off to Fort Lewis again.
Danny: I will, Tiger. I promise. I will get you the Moon and whatever else it is that your heart desires. Anything for you, Brittany. How are things with that new fellow you like?
Me: Adam? He's a sweetheart, Danny. I honestly think you will like him. He really is a nice guy and it would mean the world to me for you to meet him...
Danny: Well, for my future wife, I will do anything. ;-D You still marrying me if you are single at 28, Tiger?
Me: What? How could you even ask me that? Didn't I promise you I would? Come on now, I know I was 16 when I made that promise but I still mean it. If I am 28 and unmarried and not in a serious relationship, I'm yours.
Danny: That was the night I told you I was going to Iraq. We were walking around the lake at midnight and you were shivering you were so cold but you refused to go home. Me: I remember that. You know I am in love with you but it's the family kind and I cannot help that. You mean the world to me, Danny. I don't know what I am going to do without you again. I know you have to go and do this, but there is going to be a girl back here with a broken heart because she loves you too much to ever ask you to stay.
Danny: I know you don't love me more than like a brother but I wish you could. You're the perfect woman, Brittany. And trust me, I have seen you grow from a girl into a woman, and you are. You are going to make someone a very happy man when you finally find who and what you are looking for. Just be patient and follow your heart but pay attention to your gut. You love and you love deeply and that's why you get so hurt by people. Never change that, it's so rare in life but don't forget to take care of YOU, Tiger. You always put everyone else before yourself, you always have.
Me: You know what's strange. It's daylight and we are having this conversation. We always have serious conversations either after dark or early morning when we are sitting on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying being alive and together. This is nice though.
Danny: We are night people and you are the only person that can get me willingly out of bed in the morning. Unless I'm going hunting with my dad.
Me: That's just because I wake you up with a cup of coffee, and I have to say, I am a Goddess when it comes to the perfect cup of coffee
