So I recently stumbled upon this song when I downloaded the album over a month ago and I have decided that this song describes life and perserverance. Even if one does not like country music or Rascal Flatts, I believe EVERYONE ought to listen to this song for it will make you think and maybe even give you some hope and motivation. These characteristics are the difference between someone who survives in life and atually lives. A person who refuses to let people and the world beat them. It makes me think of myself and it makes me think of my sister, Bridgette, and my best friend Danny. While Bridgette is weak in some areas, she is a thousand times stronger than most people, especially herself, realize. Maybe JennyBear realizes this along with me, but for the longest time I think I am the only one who sees it, has seen it. And Danny has been thrown from one whirlwind to the next a lot like Bridgette and I have and yet he knows who he is and is finding out what he wants from life. An optimist to the core, he has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. Well, one of the biggest hearts. All of the dearest people in my life display the same basic characteristics although the personalities vary to keep things interesting. Richard, Bridgette and Danny are all honest, loving, devoted and strong. If I were to write about them all this post would be over 10,000 words. All in all, I was listening to this song and I began thinking of life and those in my life that I love and those who have just entered my life and the feelings I am starting to have about them. Sadly enough, these three are not in my everyday life and I miss them so much.
Bridgette, Richard, Danny: I love you all and I miss you three so very much. I am glad you are here for another few weeks, Richard, and am looking forward to next week when I can see you. Danny, I am thankful to have one more summer with you and nothing brings a smile to my face like when I revieve a phone call or text message from you. And Bridgette, I am counting down the days until you are back here in Arizona and I get to talk to you and hug you all the time. I love you, little big sister. HeHeHe... you know, that probably only makes sense to you and me but possibly Danny and Richard.
STAND: RASCAL FLATTS
You feel like a candle in a hurricane
Just like a picture with a broken frame
Alone and helpless
Like you've lost your fight
But you’ll be alright
But you’ll be alright
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you’ve had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand,
Then you stand
Life's like a novel
With the end ripped out
The edge of a canyon
With only one way down
Take what you're given before its gone
Start holding on, keep holding on
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you’ve had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand,
Then you stand
Yeah then you stand.
Everytime you get up
And get back in the race
One more small piece of you
Starts to fall into place
Ooohhh
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you’ve had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand,
Then you stand
Yeah then you stand.
Yeah
