A few days ago, I had a surprise waiting in the mail when I checked the post office box - a postcard and some coins from Germany. A lot of coins, in fact- a very nice addition to my coin collection. The postcard featured two views of Frankfurt, one during the war and one in 1997. A very lovely gift.

Everyone once in a while, something cool still happens. It's nice when a friend you love dearly gives you a little bit of something to look forward to, some kind of hope.

All I have to say is I have the best friends in the world. I'm continually amazed by how gracious, kind and loving my friends are.

Well, today, a package came from Kara! As with all packages from Kara, it had nifty thingers in it. This one had a stuffed wizard named Magnus in it (whom I took a nice nap with this afternoon before packing away and sending to NJ so he could be nice and safe with the other stuffies before the move), some nifty CDs of David Bowie and Cat Stevens, ( Read more... )
