Last night was solid. Really incredible poetry. An absolutely packed Kafe Kerouac saw a great slam battle that Writers Block won. Home ice baby!

I've been a part of this group for almost three years. It keeps getting better.

Rain and high wind. There's going to be fear at Crew Stadium tonight as USA takes on Mexico. What's the ball going to do?

Blue Jackets lost one they should have won last night. That'll cost them.

In other local news city center is set to be torn down. The powers that be plan on fundng the demolition with the stimulus. Good luck with that. The building is not even twenty years old, which is about as long as I've lived here. A shame. Hope they can finally develop the ( Read more... )

Congratulations to Rare, who won the WB IWPS slam last night. Highly charged poetry, good stuff all around. Had a lot of fun. I read first at open mic, which I did not mind this time because it allowed me to relax and heckle. Kim H. passed out bible verse and bubble gum, which was quickly labeled as 'Jesus chew".
