the past three nights there have been the most beautiful sunsets ever.
and i just don't know how someone can see the brilliant colors sweeping the sky and the wispy clouds and not realize there's a God
it really shows His glory and power
and it got me thinking about how over the past week i haven't been spending time with God..
it's funny you know
the main thing satan uses against christians is pride
we seem to think we're close enough to God where we're at but we can never be close enough to God.
we should long to be closer to Him each day..
i should truly want to seek God
i think it's easy for us to get so caught up in how much we know, maybe how much wisdom Gods given us that we forget God hasn't called us to try and obtain all knowledge possible, that yes even though He's maybe blessed you with wisdom or something great..we'll never come close to God.
i used this verse a little while ago
Philippians 2:5-8
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death-
even death on a cross!
Jesus was perfect yet He lowered himself..."made Himself nothing"
and we are sinful, far from perfect yet we seem to raise ourselves above Christ,
no longer giving Him the glory He deserves
all these entries basically say the samme thing but whatever
oh and if you want a resolution
i can think of nothing better than prayer
asking God to humble you
because you can't do it on your own
i can't wait to leave this place
don't take that to offense
i just really can't
