Theres nothing like Thanksgiving to bring out the best in people. Ok, Thanksgiving and Christmas (woohoo! 22!).
But looking back on this past year, I notice a change in myself. Im not as dependent on others as I used to be. As much as I'd like to be, I have overcome so much, heartache and disappointments, and rejoiced at new beginnings and fresh starts. But scars are my constant reminder that the past, is very much so real, and I'll be the first to admit, its hard to let go. Hell, I cant drive past the 9th and 10th grade center without crying or getting emotional. Hell! Sometimes I miss Courtney. But then I remind myself of what shes done and Im glad I've made a mature decision. But it doesnt mean I dont miss our adventures, the times we ALL shared in that building. Deep down inside, though it was hell at the time, we all miss it. But its in the past, as much as we want to relive it, we cant. All we can do is take what was learned and keep going.
Im having a hard time to get over a tough situation, and I want the best to come of it, I want to keep a friendship alive and well. You know who you are, just know this. I love you, and Im going to do all I can to be your best friend. I've been a bitch, and maybe one day it can blossom, but you are the best friend I've had, but I need more from YOU. I can only do so much :)
Wow. 22!!!! Im an old fart! I mean, GOD! How long ago was I celebrating SEAN turning 22??? Now he's 24! Im 22 and Seans 24. Old farts we all be.
I know this is typical of me, but Im going to post a song, and I know you all will read it and smile.
Me and all my friends, we're all misunderstood.
They say we stand for nothing and
Theres no way we ever could
Now we see everything thats going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we dont have the means
To rise above and beat it
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
Its hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on the door
When you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
They can bend it all they want
So while we're waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
Its not that we dont care
We just know that the pot aint fair
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We're still waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
One day our generation is gonna rule the population
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
Know we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change
