After three days rest, I was able to find time to get back on the treadmill today. Ran two and a half miles slowly. Other than being hot, it was fine. I think tomorrow I will run, hopefully earlier in the day while it's still relatively cool (75 versus 85), then try
this. It's been ages since I've done yoga, but I need to exercise more. I've gained three or four pounds during this hot-as-shit spell and it is no good.
Scout and I went to the dentist this morning. No cavities. Praise Jebus!
Stuart finally, finally, finally got his car fixed. His door no longer pings at him for no reason, he can roll his window up and down, and pop open the fuel door. This means I no longer have to drive downtown once or twice a day.
It was a tiny bit less disgustingly hot today. It apparently will only be a brief respite. Tomorrow will be upper 90s again.
I'm almost done with A Clash of Kings. It's soooooooooo good I can't stand it. And the next book is my favorite.
Ina May Gaskin was the guest on the second hour of Diane Rehm Show. She is an advocate of midwifery and natural birth and one of my heroes.
With LJ borked all day, I got quite a bit done :) Braved the waters at twitter for a bit (I think the water is safe for me to occasionally dip my toes in). Volunteered with the cats, went to the grocery, four loads of laundry folded, cleaned out my spammy inbox. Went down to the Sprint store to get my overcharged bill sorted out. Dropped off Scout and picked her up from her mural class. And even watched some videos while waiting for pasta water to boil.
