Driving sucks sometimes. When I was pulling out of our neighborhood, there were two kids and a lady riding bikes on the street, so when I pulled out I made sure to stay halfway in the other lane, but the lady yelled at me, 'Hey, watch where you're going!! You could have hit me!!' Uh, hello, I was watching, that's why I DIDN'T HIT THEM. The weird part though, is that she really really reminded me of one of my old friends who I was just thinking about the other day. My mom babysat her in 3rd and 4th grade, so she was over at my house every day. She moved a few years ago, so I haven't seen her for a while. I talked to her a couple of years ago. She doesn't live that far away... anyway, it was weird.

THEN later, my mom told me that I needed to go over to her side, which she tells me quite often. I know I have a tendency to hug the middle, but it's not like I'm too close to the middle, my mother is just extremely paranoid. EXTREMELY. So I was trying to center the car a little more in the lane, and she goes, 'You need to go to my side more!' So I snapped back, "I am going to your side!' and she was like, 'I hope you don't snap back like that to your driving instructor blah blah blah' And she talked like I was still in drivers ed, which I haven't been for more than a month. She's so irritating.

When we bought our new car, my parents started trying to get a better insurance company. They found out just how expensive it would be to add me to their policy when I get my license, so my mom was telling me that maybe I wouldn't get my license right away when I turned 16 [which is SO NOT AN OPTION. she doesn't understand that it's important to me that I get it RIGHT AWAY] and maybe we would wait a couple of months. It depended on how experienced of a driver I am. She said maybe I would need a couple months more practice. [keep in mind that I've already had my permit for two months and I have six months left until I can get my license] I asked her how I could possibly be experienced enough when she never lets me drive. I swear, my parents are so stupid about it. They won't let me drive unless I'm within three miles of my house. Even when we were coming home from Lynnwood, and we were driving through all these towns around Seattle they wouldn't let me drive. It wasn't even like we were on the freeway where the speed limit is 70, it was like 35 mph most of the time. They kept saying, 'not until we get closer to home.'

*FUMES* At least with school starting tomorrow I'll get to be away from my mother for seven hours a day.
