Merciful Movie Malarkey!

I've been away for a while. More on that another day. For the moment, let's go back to one of my timeless activities, Movie Reviewing a la Mode, where I use my impressive lack of taste, culture, and general civilized qualities to analyze the modern film phenomenon. Or something.

Right. Onward ho!

Boondock Saints

Faith an' begorrah, I should ha' reviewed this laddie on St. Paddy's day, aye! )

Boondock Saints is one of my favorite movies. It's become somewhat of a cult flick. A friend recommended it to me and I immediately bought it (only $9.99 at bestbuy) then recommended it to several other friends and so on down the line. "laden with man-flesh" --yes indeedy, that is surely one of the top selling points. but regardless i think all the fight scenes are amazing and very creative and the music to go along with them is awesome. they are actually going to make a sequel...im not too hopeful of it being good though. :/

I will admit, the soundtrack did indeed rock. They did a very good job with that. I'm kinda curious about the sequel, but I'm not certain that it will capture the essence of the first one. Again, with most sequels, the "freshness" of the concept is gone and would have to be replaced with a newer idea. And that's always the tough part with sequels.

Anyway, on the man-flesh note, I just have to point to the deleted scene where one brother is wearing nothing but white socks and a bag of ice over his nuts to make my point. Heh.

OH GOD YES! Thats the deleted scene when they get the phone call from their mother. I definetly agree that one should have been in the movie. And not just because of the man-flesh. It was fucking hilarious.

Darryl Hannah flopped like a dead fish equally well in Kill Bill 2 and Blade Runner

Is it really dead fish that flop? Or is it more dying fish? Or perhaps undead fish?

zoooombie fiiiish....

(I'll add this to my NetFlix queue. Maybe I'll see it sometime in the next 2 years...)
