And so, inevitably, I come to the "movie event of the year". Why? Because I'm addicted to blockbusters. Can't help it; that's how I roll.

Note: Heath Ledger, as the Joker, dressed as a nurse, might be the most unintentially hilarious scene caught on film this year.

The whole movie was pretty damn awesome, but despite all the other good stuff the exploding hospital scene may have been my favorite.

The gravelly Batman voice was slightly irritating. But then I was thinking, don't people always complain that superheroes with secret identities never change their voice and it's dumb that people don't recognize them based on that? He does sound distinctly different from Bruce.

The exploding hospital was awesome, especially when he got surprised by his own bomb. But I think my favorite scenes were the Harvey/Rachel bomb scene and the Crisis on the Ferries scene. So tense! Nerve-wracking!

I agree about the voice masking. But maybe next time he could get one of those robot voice megaphones like Tym got for his birthday. That would rule. ROBOT BATMAN DEMANDS COMPLIANCE!!!

Alas! My IMAX theater is fail. They don't have TDK showing. :(

How can that be? It's like the only IMAX film out there that's not a science documentary. They should be showing the hell out of it. ;-)

Maggie Gyllenhaal does a better job as Rachel Dawes than Katie Holmes did.

Totally. If Katie had gotten The Kaboom, I wouldn't have felt as badly as when Maggie did.

That would have also gotten the wild applause and the major LOL's. I think I know why Katie was locked in her ivory space capsule by Hubby didn't reprise the role.
