My Eid Journal
This Eid sure went all CHAOS RAMPANT for me hehe... OK, I don't usually do this but for the heck of doing something, lets spew out the timeline of my *EVUL* activities in this Eid.
Chaan Raait (The night before Eid)
2100: Started for Bashundhara City Mall for few shopping with Pavel (my bro-in-law) and Rony (another b.i.l.)
2230: Started for New Market (incidentally, one of the oldest malls in Dhaka)
2231: The car gets hit by one of the speeding taxi cabs; we get off the car after being called on by the taxi driver; started beating the driver, smashed his windshield etc.
2235: The lousiest cop in the planet shows up, a true, real life depiction Col. Bat Guano
2330: The owner finally decides to show his imperial ass up, who turns out to be a DRIVER in Prime Minister’s Office. Fathom that!
00:30: We decide to beat the owner up too after the initial talk of settlement failed and took them to Tejgaon police station afterwards.
0100: The GD was placed and it was getting really late… the wife was at home - waiting for me, so I decided to call this comedy off and resume shopping.
0130: We start for New Market finally and while in there, find ourselves in a crowd only comparable with an underground metal concert in late December at Dhanmondi Women’s Complex or so.
0230: Finished, bruised and battered - back in home.
0300: Off to bed, and sleep I mean.
Eid Day
0700: Taking shower
0730: Getting checked (aga-pasa) by RAB
0840: After the chief mulla decides its time again for him to eat some more shemai and regain some more tear to shed… lets us, the wretched souls to rush back to their homes.
0900: Off to bed again, and sleep again till the wife starts pounding on me literally - its time to visit the den again, yes I mean the shoshurbari.
0130: Heading back to the home for THE lunch, while already feeling sick enough from the heavy breakfast, eleventies of after 30 days of straight fasting.
0230: Ah the mighty god of slumber & snooze - engulf me.
The next day was pretty much alike, and the day after... not to mention the number of movies that I have seen between this Eid has hit a new height (9) in this 5 day weekend :D
Yes I am a loser alright, been the winner in all past Eids (Y-A-W-N) - so I have grown out of it, or so I think.
