Don't feel obligated to eat it. However, it is quite tasty.
So, as I mentioned before, I'm jobless. This is not a bad thing. For starters, both Erin and myself are feeling better, since I've gotten tired of getting run into the dirt by that place, and she's gotten tired of seeing me absolutely miserable. The major hunt for a new job starts soon - after this Saturday, to be exact. That's when I'll be clipping off roughly a foot of hair and go back to my short-locked lifestyle in an effort to look far more professional than I do now. For those of you who didn't even know I grew my hair out in the first place, I'll have before-and-after photos for this.
Things in City of Heroes have been good, barring the fact that I honestly have no idea how things are getting run in my supergroup at the moment. To clarify, one of the leaders was forced to step down for the time being. I was asked to take his place while he got things sorted out. Thing is, I've heard nothing on if it's "official" (IE: I don't have the OMG SHINY STAR). I've been keeping it under wraps as much as possible, since I don't want to jump the gun, and I don't want to pester anybody about it lest I sound like a cock. It's more been a lot of bad timing, I think, since the guy who left didn't get everything finalized before he had to head out. Reportedly, he'll be online sometime this week, so I'll ask him and see if plans have changed. Either way, it's no big deal, just so long as I'm on the same page as everyone else.
Also, I know I mentioned a while back about obtaining a trial code for World of Warcraft. Now, as I didn't want to make too many connections in-game and then be forced to make a choice between games (since I am *NOT* paying for City of Heroes and World of Warcraft, damnit), I looked into a private server just to try the gameplay out. I have to admit, it's pretty good. Really good, as a matter of fact. While I can't say I'm a huge fan of having classes restricted by your choice of race, it's a minor setback as far as I'm concerned. A huge plus has been professions - the ability to craft all sorts of stuff makes me giddy. Plus, I imagine it would make for some good RP moments, so that's always kind of neat. I can say that, should most people that I know play continue to be playing when I depart from City of Heroes, I will be checking out WoW on a more... official basis, so to speak.
And now, to go pick up my new glasses. At the price I had to pay for those fuckers, they had better be awesome.
