(no subject)
Isn't it just like me to wait this long to write a holiday update? I hope everyone had a great Christmas and start to the new year.
Christmas went really well for me. I'm usually kind of depressed that I'm so far away from my family, but since I'd just visited them, I was able to enjoy everything. On Christmas eve, J.R. and I opened the presents that my family sent. I got lots of good stuff (make up, some jewelry, a jewelry box and a new hair straightener among other things). On Christmas day, we went to J.R.'s dad's house around 11am. We ate a yummy breakfast that he made and then we exchanged presents with his dad and brother. We hung out there for a few hours and then took J.R.'s brother and sister (and her dog) to his mom's house. When we got there, the dog was acting really weird. He was walking around like he was drunk and then he started throwing up. Lauren (his sister) was totally freaked out and crying. It was really scary. After a little while, the dog and Lauren calmed down. The dog spent the rest of the day upstairs resting. After that craziness, we all exhanged presents. I got more good stuff, including 2 more Johnny Depp dvds which almost completes my collection. We hung out there until about 5 or so. Then we went over to Christina's house. (She works with J.R.) She had mentioned to him a few days prior that she didn't have much stuff to give her kids for Christmas and he felt bad so he went out a bought them some stuff so they would have more to open on Christmas morning. We just went over there to hang out and see how everything was going with them. I hadn't seen them for a while so it was fun. After about an hour or so there, we headed home. Around 10, Sedlock and Jeremy came over. We had a huge bottle of Jagermeister and Sedlock brought some Red Bull over, so we drank lots of Jager bombs. When we were all good and drunk, we decided to play Spades. We had so much fun! ...until I got sick, lol. It wasn't that bad though and I recovered pretty quickly. After wrapping up our game (J.R. and I kicked their asses), Sedlock and Jeremy left.
We didn't really do anything for New Years. J.R. suggested we find a party to go to, but I didn't really feel like it. At some point pretty early on in the night, Sedlock called and said that he'd locked himself and Jeremy out of his apartment (no doubt because they were drunk) so J.R. had to walk over there (he lives 2 buildings down) and help them break in. I thought that was pretty funny, especially because that was the second time that day that he'd locked himself out. So this time he had the office's set of keys locked in there, too. Haha!
The other day we FINALLY got to see "Finding Neverland". I had a feeling it would eventually make it's way around here. It was so so good! I was totally crying at the end. I don't even have to mention that Johnny did an amazing job, but of course I will. And the one little boy (who is also Charlie in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory") is such a good actor. I'm even more excited to see that movie now.
It seems like there's more that I wanted to write about, but now I can't remember. Maybe later.
