So I had a chat yesterday with both Frank McMurray, my cooperative teacher and Jan Davis, my supervisor for student teaching. I'm absolutely pumped! I can't wait to be diving into what I've been spending all this time working towards!
Since I've started the KCP program, I've gained a lot of confidence as well, so I'm feeling like I can get a job and that I shouldn't worry about it.
Andrew is also in the search for a career-type job right now and he's really close to graduating and the thought of us both just having our shit together sounds amazing. Honestly, the dream of us being grown ups is what keeps me going.
My KCP kids this past camp said that I seemed like I was from Beverly Hills. They were like, "The way you talk is like a valley girl and the way you dress... you look spoiled!" They were cute for sure. They were definitely my favorite group despite the fact that they were so needy. Doing KCP has made me realize that I want to work in middle school. Everytime I work with kids I get crazier and crazier. lol.
So I turn 23 in a couple of weeks and I'm not very happy about getting any older. I am two years away from being 25. Eww. Hopefully 23 will be a fabulous year.
22 has been great in the relationship department because it made up the bulk of Andrew and my relationship, and great in the job department.
It makes me realize that people really should graduate in four years because after that, you are a big kid. Which reminds me-- soooo excited for the apartment.
My speech class is winding down and Jeff & Christine are leaving the country in a week and a half, so that'll mean mucho relaxation. =)
The summer semester is my last real-semester. I like it.
Nuggy comes to town in a few days so next weekend I'm taking a trip to see her and give my nephew a hug for his twelfth birthday and then Sunday- Father's Day- Andrew, Ross, Amanda and I are going to Nascar. So pumped.
Peace out loves,
Kella
