What a week! From birthdays to weddings and everything in between!
So last Saturday was great! Mom took me out for a belated shopping trip for my birthday (which was actually back on the 6th), and I bought the new Star Wars Fate of the Jedi book! Yay! We also stopped at this wonderful, totally nerdy science store, and I bought a kind of pen that I've wanted for ages. It's a "space pen" - the kind that astronauts use, and it'll write on pretty much anything! I wanted it because it features heavily in book 1 of Diane Duane's Young Wizzards series. LOL totally geaky reason I know!I really enjoyed the Star Wars book too. It took me three days to finish it! It was 11 hours long on 9 CDs.
The rest of the week wasn't so great though, mostly because I ate something I really shouldn't have on Sunday night and spent the next two days *very* sick! Won't do that again! I was pretty much well by Wednesday, or at least the nausia and headache were gone. But I've been really tired! I was originally going to skip my Thai-Chi class and choir yesterday, but ended up going anyway out of a combination of feeling better and a sense of obligation. But I think I over-did it, because I was really exhausted by the end of choir, andended up sleepingfor a really long time!
The week-end's looking up though. I just found out that a friend of mine's getting married tomorrow! So I'm definitely going, especially since the church is really easy for me to get to! I even think I can pull together a gift, which is impressive given how broke I am and the short notice. And she's very musical, so the service should be beautiful!
Anyway, I'd better go get my dinner out of the oven. I hope I haven't burnt it!
