You know that pressing issue with a project at work?

It's quite abruptly ceased to be such an issue. Thaaaaank you, Iowan K, for being on my side on this one. You articulated the things I was too typically Midwestern to say aloud. I had no idea you thought the same way I did on this subject until we both spilled our respective beans, and wow, what a difference! Thank you for going to bat for me with our supervisor, who really is nice and does understand, and who sorted the whole thing out quite neatly. Also quickly and without calling anyone on the carpet. Score one for T the supervisor. Score one for Iowan K!

... Er score one for me, too. And no offense to A, the person who's the head of the project that was giving me fits. I like him okay as a person, honestly, but we do *not* communicate well. We're both very idiosyncratic in quite different ways, neither can tell what the other one's trying to say... and I'm told I'm not the only one has this issue. I'm not intending to rag on the guy as a person, but we do *not* always manage to work together very well.

To make a long story short, I was being put in the position of lead on a large facet of A's project, when I was supposed to be third backup. Now it's sorted, and oooooh man the stress melts away. Thing was, I didn't realize I was supposed to be third backup! Whoops. Sooooorted! Whew.

I can handle being backup on A's project. I have no objections to that. But I'm lead elsewhere, and I rather enjoy it, not to mention trying to balance lead responsibilities on both sets of phone calls is beyond nontrivial.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole here, but I am so. relieved.
