Had a Plenty Of Fish account made for me at the insistence of one lovely best friend who found remarkable success.
My interests include 'The Blood of the Innocent' and 'Punching Babies'
And after a month or so of emailing. I took the plunge and went on a dud date.
V. Dull. (Seriously dull. When he announced he had to leave, I actually said "Excellent!" before having to justify the statement by explaining it was due to our proximity to TTC.)
Suppose it didn't help that it was at my regular coffee/pie joint so while I felt safe on my home-turf, I also was treated to some more of the same. Followed by an uninspired game of "In My Pants".
NO! Not as kinky as you think!! You go to a bookstore and try to add the words "In My Pants" at the end of a book title. ("The Sun Also Rises In My Pants").
And to round it off, (and prove I really am a cheap date) a tour of the ROM gift store. Not the ROM itself. Just the overpriced, historically inaccurate models/popular but non-footnoted books.
I figure I cost the poor lad a whole $6.00. Plus the cost of transportation.
But finally did ONE adult thing besides wearing a miniskirt for the first time in public! Instead of disappearing into the mysts of time and cyberspace, I broke with my tradition and actually let this guy know I wasn't interested. Normally I just ignore 'em until they get the message. Or stalk me. So... at least I'm growing up some if I'm not getting some. Look ma! No Mens!!.
