Hey now...

I went and saw Iron Man2 on Friday in Extreme Digital at my local Cinemark. It was an extremely pleasant movie experience. The screen is  wall to wall, I means it blends seamlessly into the wall , unlike conventional  screens that just seem to be mounted on the wall. The speakers are placed in such a way that one can feel the sound coming from all around and even feel the powerful basso vibrations through the feet.  The seats were of plush leather really quite comfy. The picture was crisp and clean. The effect was quite dazzling. It cost about $12 for a matinee performance. I had a rain check from a previous movie mishap so all I had to pay for was popcorn and Cherry Coke/light on the ice please, thank you very much. The movie itself was entertaining. I did not go in expecting an epic film that would defy the ages. I just went to see a fun, sometimes funny, action packed, and excellent effects. On that front I was not disappointed. I realize it was the first movie I attended, since I saw The Wolfman back in February. I missed all the blockbusters that had come prior to Ironman2. I have  become a fixture of my HD televison, more often opting to watch movies at home as opposed to venturing out to movie theaters. Plus it is cheaper.

Now it is Sunday and I should be getting ready for church, but here I sit on my computer. I am listening to Steely Dan's Babylon Sisters repeatedly getting totally carried aloft in its melody and lyrics. Nothing else happening at the moment. Hope the LJ family is okay. I will be checking my friend's pages to bring myself abreast.
Have a good weekend and a good week
