A Department of One
It was so good to sleep in today. Work has been hectic and stressful since my coworker left last Friday. People have lately been saying things like how I'm the lowest paid Department head, that I'm both boss and lackey. It is an odd thing to be the single person left in the department, especially since my former boss fought so hard to make it an actual department and I was the lowest on the totem pole. I still have a supervisor, but technically the Exhibits department exists of me and is me. No illustrations for the latest exhibit, just graphic design, measurements, and getting things done.
On a lighter note, I've been watching the Firefly series. I really like the series and can't believe it only lasted one season. It has a boldness that I guess network TV might be offended by, but I don't really see why it never moved to cable. When it first came out, I had a TV that only got NBC in a very fuzzy way, so no ratings boost from me.
I also finally had the chance to watch Donnie Darko. Also a surprising favorite. I had a completely different impression of what it might be about entirely, but I ended up liking practically every aspect of the film.
Well anyway, a couple of days to myself before being thrown back into the maelstorm that is work.
