It's supposed to get up to 109°F today. This is crap!

It's been a week and I haven't gotten over how amazingly beautiful Sacramento is. There are so many trees, every street in midtown is full of these perfectly kept Victorian houses, the people are friendly and helpful, the weather is warm and sunny, and everything I could need or want is within walking, biking, or bussing distance. I spent all Saturday morning packing up the rest of Ian's things and loading them into a moving truck, then loading my stuff. It took hours and we finally left by 1:30pm, which meant we got into Sacramento at 3:30pm, a half hour after the office closed where we had to sign the lease. There was a birthday party at a preschool I went to today, and there was a piñata. The boys were fine. The girls, however, beat the ever-loving Christ out of that thing. I jumped a few times. I went to Davis to stay with Ian's mom and sister, and while Ian and I were there we went to Sacramento to visit his mom's school so I could ask for a job recommendation.
