well, i just returned from about half an hour of chillin outside, looking up at the stars, kinda being philiosophical. i got to thinking...i mean hey...the sun's a star, right? and there are billions of stars out there; what if they all have a solar system orbiting them? if the standard amount of celestial bodies in a solar system is +/- 10, then that's tens of billions of planets, all potentially life supporting. and what about the moons orbiting the planets? jupiter has...what...4 major ones and dozens of smaller ones? i mean the moons around those distant planets could potentiall support life, and it just creates a huuuuge potential for lots of intelligent life. made me feel very tiny. reminded me of star wars somehow...anyway, then i came in, and watched this really thought-provoking flash movie titled "life." it started off talking about space, and how rocks and ice come together to form galaxies, how everyone wants to be there...then it started talking about earth and mankind, showing how different people can be, from people like mother theresa to hitler. then it said, "War: mankind can't live without it. there is no good, no evil, only hate" then it ended with talking about how to middle eastern countries, we are the evil that needs to be extinguished, and to us, they're terrorists bent on destroying truth and justice. i dunno, it was really good. wow this post has gotten really long, too. i need to stop that. i should break them up into smaller posts. well...
