Audrey was convinced that she ate bad food the previous night when she went out for dinner with her parents. Her chicken looked like it was under cooked anyways. She groaned loudly, her cheek pressed again the toilet seat, as she waited for the urge to throw up her breakfast again. Unfortunately, Something in the back of her mind told her that it wasn’t the chicken.
Her period was delayed. She should have had it four days ago, but the lack of colour must’ve been from the stress of moving. It had to be. She thought back to the night the elevator with Noah. They didn’t use protection. It was possible. Feeling sick all over again, Audrey pulled her head over the toilet, and began throwing up again. The more she thought about it, the more plausible it seemed.
Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, Audrey struggled to her feet. She took short steps towards the counter, and turned on the tap. Splashing her flushed face with water, Audrey avoided to glance at her reflection. She wasn’t ready for this. Not when her relationship with Noah was just forming, she feared that she would just add more stress onto his shoulders. Turning on her toothbrush, She absentmindedly cleaned her mouth. The young dancer eventually stepped back and glanced at her appearance, running her hands through her dishevelled hair.
It began to fit together like a puzzle piece, but it was incompletely. There was one thing she needed to do, but she was scared. She didn’t want to go through this alone. Walking out of the bathroom, Audrey headed towards the kitchen, and picked up the phone. She dialled Teagan’s numbers, and momentarily waited.
“Hey, Teag. It’s Audrey. I need you to come to the drug store with me.”
