195 In which I live eight days a week

23 July 2010- Strange how a random throw-over has turned into my new favourite outfit. A few weeks ago, confronted with idon'tknowwhattowear-itis, I randomly threw over my grey faces tee over my mum's long printed skirt. It's a combination I wouldn't have considered months and months ago, yet now I've grown to love it so much I wear it all the time. To shopping, to barbecues, to the park.

Sometimes my little songbird follows me if I go. It's an interesting specimen, this songbird. It's really nothing more than a picture fused onto a backing of brass. Just when you realise the three-dimensionalism is all but an illusion, you spot the surprising detail of protruding claws gripping onto the branch.

Right: I got this colourful gemstone-encrusted bangle while in Augsburg. It was too beautiful to resist, even for a non-bangle person like me.

The vibrant colours of my songbird gives my T-shirt a sort of tattooed "Ed Hardy" vibe. Here it has come to rest among the lovely flowers on my mum's stained glass panel... almost like a painting, though not quite.

And when Lego Police isn't throwing the life ring buoy over to a damsel in distress, I would wear it on my finger as a ring...

Other times I would replace my red belt with a brown one, while my necklace becomes a fully fledged carriage of horses. So say hello to my new favourite outfit - also my new basics - because there is no end to how I can accessorise and accessorise it.
