Will I ever have free time again?
So, remember my goal of posting every other day? Clearly that is not getting accomplished this month, since the last time I posted was on the first. And this is not really a real post either, just a drive-by to say "hey what's up? I'm not dead!". I have had mandatory overtime at work every single day this month, and my supervisor told me today that it will probably continue for the rest of the month and into February since these are the two busiest months of the year. People need to stop calling us. And when they do, they need to quit complaining about the hold time. Yes, I know you had to wait. The more people complain about it the longer you have to wait, since we have to apologize and explain why the hold times are so long. Ugh, people go away!
I love how they didn't tell us this when we got hired, either. We didn't find out about it until the week before it started. We get our next week's schedule on Thursdays, so we didn't know that there'd be overtime until the day the schedules were in our hands. Ugh. How the hell am I supposed to make appointments during the week if I might have overtime but won't know until the week before? Having to come in two hours early on Mondays and Tuesdays really blows, too. I can handle the extra hour Wed-Fri, but two hours totally screws me up for the rest of the day. And apparently even after these busy months are over, we still have mandatory overtime every week. It would be one thing if we had to stay later, but coming in at different times during the week is a pain in the ass.
Okay, I'll quit complaining now, I promise. Except to say that FOX is once again on my list for postponing tomorrow's Bones for a stupid Presidential Address. Granted it's Bush's last, but I was looking forward to Bones, dammit! I mean, first they move it to Thursdays, opposite a million things, and then they postpone it totally. Grr.

I think I'm just going to relax for a little bit and then go to sleep, since apparently I have nothing nice to say right now. I'll hopefully have some interesting things to post this weekend, when I actually have some free time. Night, all!
