Yes, I am actually around. Busy, but around. Hopefully I will be on a better schedule soon so I can make my presence known in other ways besides sporadic comments and even more sporadic posts. I have a lot to update about, including my thoughts on LJ/6A's terrible customer service (which you can find better said, here, actually) but this post isn't about any of that. :) This post is basically a request/plea:
Anyone in the Philadelphia area (or who can get to the Philadelphia area on Friday August 17th) who wants to go to the Rufus Wainwright/Neko Case concert at the Mann Center: I know of someone who is trying to get rid of two front row tickets to this show. I really really want to go, but don't know anyone who either a) can make it that day, b) likes the performers, or c) can afford it right now. So, if you meet those three criteria, let me know and I'll contact this guy again and get the tickets. I'd love to go, but am not sure if I can manage to convince him to sell me only one ticket. Plus, it would be totally fun to meet one of you guys! :)
The tickets are $60 each, which is approximately the same price as what I paid for my ticket for the Fiona Apple/Nickel Creek show at the same venue, with the same base cost. So, in other words, they're not marked up beyond any venue fees.
So, anyone who's interested, please let me know ASAP, either here, or via e-mail (it's in the profile). I'd love to make this happen!
