So, I went to work today, and when I got home, there was this message on my machine saying that the temp agency had gotten a call from the doctor's office (where I am working) saying that they didn't need me anymore. The message went on to say that I should call the temp agency since my position was over so they could work on getting me placed somewhere else. That's all well and good, except for one thing: no one at work mentioned a thing about this to me. I mean, WTF? My position was supposed to be until MA recovered from her knee surgery (6-8 weeks), not six weeks exactly. Why didn't they say anything to me today? I am going to call tomorrow early to find out just what the hell is going on, so if it turns out that I am supposed to be finished, I won't end up going in for no reason and feeling like a moron when I have to leave. It seems a bit rude to end the job without informing the worker, right? Hopefully it'll be straightened out soon. It would suck if I was finished so abruptly, though, since I didn't get to say goodbye to anyone.

I don't know what to think about tonight's Gilmore Girls. I liked most of it, but I am not happy about Christopher and Lorelai getting married; I think he pushed her into doing something she isn't ready to do. Not that she'll necessarily ever be ready to get married at the rate she's been going, but that seemed really strange. I think the time for Christopher/Lorelai came and went already, and the fact that he's been so pushy about it has really bugged me. I think she's still not over Luke. She may not get over him any time soon, either. This whole plotline is frustrating the hell out of me. I want her to get back together with Luke, dammit!
As for Rory, why is she not editor anymore? Can a senior not be editor of the school paper during her last semester? Seems rather strange to me, and sort of a lame excuse for a breakdown. I did like Paris' speech about Rory, though. In fact, all of Paris' scenes were great. There should be an episode entirely from Paris' POV. How much would that rock?
It'll be interesting to see how the Marty thing plays out. It's obvious that he's going to be important in Rory's life, or whatsername's "Boyfriend" would've just been some random guy. Even though I have come to adore Logan, I always loved Marty, so if they brought him back so he and Rory could get together, I can work with that. He's not Dean, but you can't have everything.
That reminds me; today I heard the radio ad for tonight's CW lineup about ten times, and in it they hyped the
proposal scene (same scene from the TV promo). They dubbed it "the best episode ever" and said this was "the moment every Gilmore fan's been waiting for." Um, no? Some of us "Gilmore fans" really couldn't care less about Christopher/Lorelai anymore. Some of us would like for them to fix Luke/Lorelai, thank you very much. And the only way this could have been the best episode ever is if Dean came back and he and Rory got back together. But that would be kind of impossible, what with Jared being on Supernatural now.

I'm going to close this post with a music rec. I discovered this on my HD last night (it's like an unexpected Christmas present!), and I laughed for the entire two plus minutes. If you are sick and tired of hearing that song "Beautiful" by James Blunt on the radio or in every damn show on TV, you have to download this. Or if you like James Blunt and have a good sense of humor, since it's (as I mentioned) utterly hilarious.
Mitch Benn - I May Just Have To Murder James Blunt But I may just have to murder James Blunt
He's an evil I know I must confront
I'm well aware he was in the military
But dragon ninja training couldn't save his scrawny ass from me.
And it just gets better.
