Especially when I don't really have anything to say right now. I was pretty successful in my attempt to do absolutely nothing today. I don't know that it helped my back all that much, but I've been putting ice on it and my hip made this really loud crack earlier which took some pain away. I was able to get caught up on my flist, though (except for fic posting, since this fandom is crazy prolific). It ended up being about skip=240 or so, but it gave me an excuse to not get up and do anything, so yay!
I did watch The Simpsons earlier, and it was pretty good. Not my favorite Halloween episode by a long shot (that title belongs to the one with the parody of The Shining), but it did have
Maurice LaMarche in it, so that was awesome. I have a bunch of shows on my DVR to watch, but no desire to do it right now.
I have been staring at this window for the past five minutes trying to think of something to post about, but nothing's coming to me. I should probably just call it a night, since I have a bunch of things to do to before I go to bed so I can get up early and get to Milford by 8:30AM to hand out the voting machines. Hopefully tomorrow I will actually have something to say. I mean, I have a bunch of things I want to post about, but none of them are posts that can be accomplished in ten minutes. So, I'll save those for later in the week when my schedule allows for something other than freaking out at the amount of stuff I have to do and the short time I have to do it in. Like, for example, my schedule for tomorrow:
7:00AM - Get up. (Yes, I realize this is probably normal for some of you, or even late for others, but I am not used to getting up this early. It sucks.)
7:30AM - Leave.
8:30AM-?? - Distribute voting machines, get refresher on what I need to do on Tuesday, make sure they don't mind me not checking in every hour on Tuesday, since I was planning on being at work, rather than in Pike County. Then, drive home, change for work, and get there by 1PM.
1:00PM-?? - Work at Doctor's office.
Some time during all this, I have to go to the bank and deposit $$. I know there is something else as well, but it has slipped my mind. Now that I look at this, it doesn't look like a lot, but my Tuesday schedule is five times worse than this, and both days are going to tire me out massively. If they weren't paying me a lot of money that I desperately need, I'd have said fuck it and not done it for this election. But I really need the money, so I guess I can be tired and sore for a couple of days.
Now I'm off to print out directions to where I need to be tomorrow, and try to find the papers they gave me last year to refresh my memory. *looks at giant mess on desk* Ha, this is going to be interesting.
