I talked to my dad today.  His surgery went well and although he's sore and uncomfortable, he's in good spirits.  The doctor is 99.9999% convinced the cancer was completely contained in the prostate and is certain the pathology report is going to confirm it.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words of sympathy about my grandma.  She and the grandpa who passed away last summer were the ones I was closer to, despite the fact that dad's folks lived in the same town.  My brother and I spent many summers with them and they wouldn't spoil us rotten, but we felt like it ( Read more... )
