Tim (8:42:49 PM): first movie of 2009 worth seeing (that i am aware of): April 24th, the Soloist comes out, if the movie is as good as the story its trying to tell it will be a great film
Tim (9:08:31 PM): and heath ledger wins, 3 for 5
Tim (10:02:43 PM): Slumdog Millionaire is an unstoppable juggernaut of award winning
Tim (10:07:32 PM): WOW
Tim (10:08:05 PM): Departures wins best foreign language film, making me 3 for 6 regardless of if you take my personal pick or what i thought would win
Tim (10:19:38 PM): damn, im not sure ill get over 50% now thanks to that
Tim (10:20:58 PM): ok 4 of 7, danny boyle takes director
Tim (10:26:59 PM): alright best actress...come on big upset in my favor
Tim (10:32:52 PM): well, i personally picked hathaway but was correct in saying winslet would take it, im now 4 of 8

Tim (10:43:46 PM): very very very deservingly
Tim (10:46:00 PM): 4 of 9 i mean
Tim (10:53:32 PM): and i finish 5 of 10, slumdog juggernaut wins best picture
Tim (11:01:28 PM): so hillary swank will be playing amelia earhart, i dont know if disappearing carries the same weight as being beaten to death
Tim (11:01:50 PM): but, she will die at the end of the film, so consider her the frontrunner for next year's best actress award
There you have it folks! A fine performance by Tim - 5/10 may not seem like much, but he did predict several upsets and acknowledged as such in his total writeup. Plus, a tip for next year: see The Soloist!
Happy film-going everyone!
