Writer's Block: Mirror, mirror

Sep 28, 2009 17:45

For the most part superstition is utter bumkum, rubbish and piffle. However I wont walk under a lader if some one is working up the ladder for fear of having some thing drop on my head. If a black cat crosses my path while I'm driving there is a good chance that the cat will be the unlucky one. As for mirrors, if I break a mirror I was probably  being clumsey, The following seven years will have such a mixture of fortune as to render the concept of seven years bad luck undefineable. Rabbits feet are only unlucky for the rabbit that sufferd its demise to provide the foot and bring no fortune to the person with one. The only thing I don't do is roll dice unnecessarily during a table top war game.

We make our own luck, by balancing the odds, and making a move when the odds are in our favour. I belive in probability and maths not luck.
