It's back. The power, the rush, the feeling like I can defend myself and do whatever I want, whenever I want, it's back. Josh found a way to return the power to me. He was turned into a vampire and instead of just running off and enjoying his new life...he came back for me.
Not even to kill me, or to force me to be like him. Josh offered me the choice to accept his gift of immortality and to be at his side for eternity. I accepted and the feeling of being turned from a weak mortal into a vampire by Josh was the most intimate feeling I have ever experienced. Josh waited for me to wake up. He was by my side when my eyes opened and I had to adjust to my new increased senses.
It turns out that Derek gave Lauren the same gift. We're vampires, all of us and we have this entire country to explore. We can take what we want and not have to worry about being caught. They deactivated the vampire slayers with the exception of Buffy and Faith. That means we're the top of the food chain.
Tonight we're going to meet Josh and Derek's sires, Katerina and Sky. Their blood flows through us and I guess that makes us family. They can help teach us to master our new skills.
