"Misa, we have to work. Talk later."

Misa is young again, being ignored by her mother. But instead of steel in fat, balancing dangerously on needle heels, it is Light, and she loves him. She wants only to be by his side.

When she thinks about it, Misa knows that it will never happen.

So she doesn't think about it. Doesn't think about how Ryuuzaki is always touching him, if not physically, then through that hateful chain.

Misa loves Light, she thinks.

So she waits.
